This Salon discussion will explore the challenges of addressing large-scale public health issues such as dementia, obesity, cancer and other noncommunicable diseases. As the world population grows and ages, economic, medical and political realities limit progress. Yet, at the individual, global, regional, national, local, and community level, we hope to advance ethical, fact and evidence-based based approaches -- smart choices -- to advance a better world.
As he embarks on a Senior Fellowship at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard Kennedy School. Scott Ratzan, MD, MPA, will share ideas based on his experiences on private and public sector engagement on how we can advance health sustainably. His theme "Getting Past Sisyphus" reminds how business and government cannot succeed without interdependent relationships.
