Sustainable Islands Summit.
Altru Institute in concert with the formation of an Altru Chapter in Ibiza will host a Sustainable Islands Summit to focus on technologies that advance sustainability for islands worldwide. April 25, 26th.
​
Organized in conjunction with the Davos Consortium, and Davos House of Pioneers, the objective is to assemble experts and impact investors interested in advancing technologies for sustainability generally, but with a focus on the unique challenge of sustainability for islands.
​
In collaboration with the clean energy for EU islands secretariat and Ibiza Preservation (invited) we look at the success of various islands around the world in this regard and will identify specific areas of sustainability opportunity within hospitality, marine and infrastructure sectors and technological advances in such areas as the grid, solar, water, and waste. Technologies Presentations. Inventory of breakthroughs and strategies:

The Grid. The challenge of electrical power transmission.

Solar. Advances in technologies and approaches for capture and storage.

Water. Addressing the global water shortage.

Waste. Achieving circularity. Waste into energy. Addressing landfills.

Infrastructure Finance. Role of tokenization to fund critical infrastructure.
The Institutes approach is to assemble the best and brightest ideas and people to create communities of thought leaders, policy makers and innovators to develop research reports to advance knowledge and progress generally.

These small group sessions led by experts to foster collaboration among those with serious professional engagement or interested in active investment.

These highly selective sessions will run from 10:00 to 16:00 on Friday and Saturday. Followed by social and recreational activities for delegates to build relationships while enjoying the island. Attendance is by application. The Summit will be held at a private Villa on the west coast of the Island.
