Altru China Initiative and Columbia University Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CUCSSA) in cooperation with Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) presents Better Angels, an important documentary offering a different perspective on China - US relations.
Directed by two-time academy award winner Malcolm Clarke this documentary film that captures a unique perspective on humanistic relationship. The film, which took 5 years to produce, was never intended to be a political film, but recent developments in the China US relationship give now give it greater significance and importance. The film anchors the Altru Institutes China Initiative, an effort to foster greater understanding between US and China by connecting future leaders in both countries at America’s leading Colleges and Universities.
‘Better Angels’ examines the proposition that America and China must gradually overcome economic rivalries, ideological challenges and cultural differences to achieve an historic accord never before seen between superpowers. View Trailer.
